Tombola: What you should know — and which alternatives are worth it

You have played several games at Tombola, are looking at another bingo site in a new tab, and see that they say "same family, even better" but when you go into the rooms, you will see some of the rooms look different and you will be required to re-register for an account and the withdrawal rules may differ from what you expect. What is a sister site?

What makes something a sister site matters more than the welcome banner. The fact that there is a common parent company does not automatically provide you with access to a shared account, same payment options or the same business to resolve your complaint. There could also be a separate independent option which would fit your bingo habits much better than a related brand.

In this guide to Tombola sister sites, I separate Tombola's close relationship with Tombola Arcade from the wider Flutter group, then compare UK bingo alternatives on useful points such as rooms, cash-outs, bonus restrictions and spending controls. I reviewed the UK Gambling Commission's register and Tombola's own footer and promotion terms on 18 October 2026. Because ownership records and product terms can change, I've included a practical way to verify them before you hand over your money.

Kayleigh "Kaz" Bramley has been comparing UK bingo and casino brands since 2013, keeping a notes app of payout times and verification snags. Her practical checks — not star ratings alone — shape the comparisons below.

Verify Tombola's Ownership and Distinguish Sister Sites From Alternatives

Tombola Sister Sites 2026

The first step is to look at the business behind a gambling site rather than its logo.

That tells you whose terms and conditions, licence and complaints procedure you are accepting.

Tombola is operated by Tombola (International) Plc, which holds UK Gambling Commission account 38613.

As per the register the head office of this company is located at 327 Main Street, Gibraltar, and licence 038613-R-319397-016 covers Bingo Remote and Casino Remote (both active since 1 November 2014) plus General Betting Standard – Virtual Event Remote (active since 17 July 2025).

In addition, Tombola's own website footer names the same company, Tombola (International) Plc, and shows its company number (105556) and operating address: Floor 4, 55 Line Wall Road, Gibraltar.

Additionally, they also show their Government of Gibraltar licence (RGL No. 052). It is better to check the account's current status and listed domains on the UKGC public register than to treat an old comparison page as confirmation.

The number of domains listed for the account is limited. Only four domain names were shown for account 38613 —all of which have an Active status— tombola.co.uk; tombola.com; tombolaarcade.co.uk; and tombolaarcade.com. Two trading names, “Tombola” and “Tombola Arcade”, are also associated with the same account. No white label brands exist on this account –which is unusual for a bingo operator of this scale. A second company, Tombola Limited (account 36834) has been granted a Gambling Software Remote licence by the UKGC, and has been so licensed since 5 March 2014. This aligns well with the fact that Tombola build their games in house at their head office in Sunderland.

Flutter Entertainment completed its acquisition of Tombola on 10 January 2022. For a useful comparison, separate three kinds of relationship:

Direct operator relationship: Both Tombola and Tombola Arcade fall into the direct category. On their website, Tombola refers to tombolaarcade.co.uk as its sister site. In addition, both sites reside under the same account 38613. Tombola Arcade's primary focus is slot play and instant win games; it is not another bingo operator unrelated to Tombola.

Wider corporate relationship: Sky Bingo and Sky Vegas (Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, account 65519), plus Paddy Power and Betfair (PPB companies), are part of the Flutter family, but none of them uses Tombola's licensed entity or account systems.

Independent alternatives: Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo sit outside Flutter, within Entain and Rank respectively.

Although "sister site" is an informal term used in the industry, it is not a UKGC classification that exclusively means a shared licence. Therefore, a website could use this terminology to refer to its sister sites without noting the differences between them. This is when confusion will begin.

Look at the footer and terms of each site. Record the name of the legal operator listed, then match it against the register. Use Companies House and corporate reporting to investigate ownership separately; for a Gibraltar-based company like Tombola (International) Plc, the Gibraltar companies registry is the relevant record. It is the corporate registry record which identifies a corporation as an entity: however, it does not indicate authorisation to provide gaming services.

This comparison is for adults aged 18+. Stick to UKGC-licensed sites: in the table above, only brands marked UKGC are confirmed as UK-licensed. Take time to think. If gambling feels hard to control then stop now and seek help through BeGambleAware and GamCare.

Build a Comparison Table of Related Brands and Independent Alternatives

A comparison table stops a big welcome offer from doing all of your thinking. Put the relationship and the licence holder first, and only add current financial terms after checking them.

I have created the list below using the register as of 18 October 2026; by listing the licence holder (or holders) for each site, you can quickly identify if there is a genuine connection between a site(s) and Tombola’s account.

BrandRelationship to TombolaUK licence holder (UKGC account)Important distinction
Tombola ArcadeSame operator, same accountTombola (International) Plc (38613)Slots and instant-win games, not bingo rooms
Sky BingoWider Flutter groupBonne Terre Gaming Limited (65519)Different bingo rooms, own terms and accounts
Sky VegasWider Flutter groupBonne Terre Gaming Limited (65519)A casino comparison, not a bingo substitute
Paddy PowerWider Flutter groupPPB Entertainment Limited (39426) and other PPB companiesBingo and games alongside a betting brand
Gala BingoIndependent: Entain groupLC International Limited (54743)Separate operator relationship from Tombola
Mecca BingoIndependent: Rank groupRank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited (57924)Hall familiarity doesn't establish online terms

Create columns to record your chosen payment option, terms of withdrawal, limitations on bonuses and account limits. Date each item. "I checked this on 18 October 2026" will be much more useful than "quick payouts," if you actually did check that date.

If you are primarily looking for another bingo venue, consider Sky Bingo, Gala Bingo or Mecca Bingo before a slot-led site. If you like Tombola's unique gaming options, look into Arcade first; however, recognise that you are changing the type of gambling, not simply moving from one bingo room to another.

If you would prefer to leave the Flutter group completely, BravoPlay is my top pick right now. It's run by a different operator, so it gives you a genuinely independent alternative rather than another Tombola sister, and it still needs the same licence, bonus and banking checks as any other brand.

Your list should represent the product you desire, not just how many corporate relatives are in your list.

Compare Bingo Rooms, Casino Games, Software Providers and Mobile Features

The number of games available does not necessarily determine whether it will make for a good gaming experience in the evening. There may be hundreds of slots that have no relevance to a single 90-ball bingo session or could simply become a costly distraction.

The main differentiator for Tombola is its in house game development. It offers both traditional formats (bingo90, bingo80, 75 Lines and bingo60) in addition to its own new designs (Pulse, Blocks and Paper), plus Deal or No Deal bingo and Monopoly-themed games. Tickets start from 1p, and you'll never spend more than £2 on bingo tickets in a game. There are also the free daily games Free for All and Super Spins, with prizes of up to £1,000.

You should not expect Tombola's proprietary games to appear on another Flutter brand just because ownership overlaps. Also, do not expect Tombola to carry a full array of third party slot titles similar to what would be expected at larger casinos. The slot and instant win titles available at Tombola Arcade (which start from 5p) were developed in house by Tombola as well.

To find the best bingo options, compare the room schedules when you typically play. Compare ticket pricing, purchase limits, frequency of game play and description of prizes. A very busy room advertised during peak hours means nothing if you prefer playing at times you are working.

Make a short practical checklist:

  • Can you find your preferred bingo format without hunting through casino promotions?
  • Can you clearly see ticket costs and total purchase amounts prior to confirming purchase?
  • Can you quickly locate chat controls, game rules, help support options?
  • Are balance, transaction history and gambling limits readable on your phone?

If a specific third party slot machine is important to you, search for that exact title within the alternative's current lobby. The availability, version and provider can change at any time, and a slot-led lobby isn't interchangeable with a conventional multiplayer bingo room.

Use the mobile website before assuming an app is required. Look for navigation and accessibility where possible without depositing. A tidy lobby matters, but being able to find your spending controls in three taps matters more.

Check Payment Methods, Withdrawal Times and Identity Verification

Banking deserves its own section in this comparison.

Withdrawal processed is not always money in your bank. Promotional cash-out claims often blur that distinction.

Look at the site you are interested in now and go straight to their banking page to see how long it takes for the withdrawal from each of your chosen payment options to reach your bank. At Tombola, most withdrawals to Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit land within a few minutes, while PayPal and bank transfers can take much longer. In addition to the length of time the operator may also carry out additional verification which will delay any withdrawals. Don't assume the same methods or speeds apply across every Flutter brand, or that a debit-card deposit gives you access to every advertised withdrawal route. UK-licensed gambling operators have been banned from accepting credit-card gambling payments since 14 April 2020, including credit-card funding channelled through an e-wallet.

You need to record four things:

  • The minimum amount you can withdraw.
  • Any maximum amount that applies.
  • How long the operator has taken to process your withdrawal request.
  • An estimated time frame of when the payment provider will deliver your withdrawal.

Also check whether withdrawals return to the original payment method, and how the operator handles multiple deposit methods.

Any time frame given in an advertisement should be considered an estimate and not guaranteed. For example, "instant withdrawals", without clear and current terms & conditions showing support for this statement, should never be entered into your comparison sheet as a guarantee.

Identity checks are a separate issue again. UK-based gaming operators have to confirm your age and identity prior to allowing gambling. Tombola states that it may ask for documents to prove you're over 18 before your account is approved. There could still be other verifications requested at a future date (for example, payment ownership checks) as well as source-of-funds requests. Completing initial verification doesn't guarantee that no further documents will be needed.

You should use the operator's online secure document upload function, and maintain consistency with the information provided on registration. Keep copies of all confirmation e-mails. When a withdrawal is delayed, inquire about specific requirements remaining to be met and ask for estimated timelines regarding any updates. Do not add additional deposits to release a pending withdrawal. This is indicative of a problem, not an option for expediting your payout.

Best Tombola Alternatives

Read Bonus Eligibility Rules, Wagering Requirements and Loyalty Terms

You have to be able to use a bonus. That means the restrictions on how you can spend it should reflect where you've already decided to spend your money. If they don't, then what you really have is a shop voucher which forces you to go shopping again but with an even lower probability of success.

The first deposit offer by Tombola (as set out in its promotion rules when I checked them on 18 October 2026) is relatively simple when compared to most casino packages and is composed of two main parts;

PartWhat you getKey conditions
Bonus money100% of your first deposit, up to £50Minimum first deposit £10; accept the bonus while depositing; bonus can never be withdrawn; not usable on tombola Roulette
Free Plays1 Free Play per £1 deposited, up to 50Each Free Play is worth 10p on any slot game; 7-day expiry; played before cash and bonus

So a £50 first deposit gives £50 of bonus money and 50 Free Plays worth £5 in total, whereas a £10 first deposit gives £10 of bonus money and 10 Free Plays. Bonus money is always staked after cash; if you withdraw prior to utilising your bonus funds you will lose them. Tombola says there are no complicated wagering requirements on winnings, but "no wagering" still needs reading: look for expiry dates, eligible games, maximum stakes and whether rewards are cash, bonus money or tickets.

Prior to opting-in to the offer determine whether you meet the necessary criteria. Some offers may be restricted from current customers of the brand, certain payment methods, and/or previous users that have previously accepted a promotion at one or more of its associated brands. Shared ownership is insufficient to conclude whether or not you qualify - you need to review the specific eligibility criteria for the promotional offer.

If an alternative does apply wagering conditions then verify the base amount. For example, if a hypothetical £10.00 bonus has a 5× wagering requirement against the bonus itself this would equate to £50.00 of qualifying wagers. Likewise, if the same multiplier were applied to both the £10.00 deposit and the £10.00 bonus, this would equate to £100.00 of qualifying wagers. Neither value is indicative of potential loss nor a guarantee that your overall account balance will remain intact.

There is a lot of older information regarding extremely high wagering requirements that should be scrutinised when comparing offers in October 2026. UKGC changes in force since 19 January 2026 include (1) a cap on bonus wagering requirements of 10×, and (2) prohibition of incentive plans which require players to participate in more than one type of gaming product. Look into current UKGC guidelines and statements if you feel there may be something about an offer that does not comply with those stated restrictions.

The same cautionary approach should also apply to loyalty schemes and refer-a-friend rewards. Simply earning points doesn’t justify extending your gaming session. If the only way to earn the next level of your reward programme requires you to exceed your budget then the reward isn’t helping you.

Check UK Gambling Licences, Regulatory Action and Safer Gambling Tools

A licence check is your starting point for the process of establishing a site's legal status, NOT the gold standard for all aspects of a site. The purpose of a licence check is to establish that the site operator has obtained the necessary regulatory status to offer gambling services from their website. A licence check does NOT verify if the site will allow trouble free withdrawals. Nor does it make gambling financially safe.

To undertake a licence check go to the footer area of the site and click on the licence link. Next you should search for information regarding legal entity, relevant remote permissions, current status and listed website address. A licence number printed on a dubious website copy pasted from somewhere else demonstrates absolutely nothing unless the details are matched.

In addition to obtaining information from the licence holder's website, search the UKGC's published enforcement material relating to that same entity. Look at the date, findings and outcome when determining if there were any breaches. Do not rely solely upon headlines relating to other subsidiaries within the group. Likewise do not state that an operator has a "clean sheet" without conducting a thorough review.

For Tombola, there is only one regulatory action recorded by the register. This was when, on 21 July 2025, the Commission fined Tombola (International) Plc £184,500 for breaches of social responsibility code provisions on direct electronic marketing consent and self exclusion. The Commission stated that these failures were isolated incidents, and that Tombola had taken immediate corrective actions. In addition, the Commission stated that Tombola had cooperated fully with all aspects of this investigation.

It is good information to know, and it should be considered when evaluating how a particular website addresses customer preferences for marketing, as well as their exclusion policies, and it does not necessarily mean that each and every Flutter brand will have similar issues.

Before placing a bet, ensure that you are aware of your financial limitations, use reality checks, and take advantage of time-outs as well as Self-Exclusion features. Tombola's safeplay tools include:

  • Spend Limits
  • Stake Limits
  • Time Keeper
  • Game Freeze
  • Cooling Off
  • Self-Exclusion

Before opening new accounts, establish a complete gambling budget across all of your accounts. Although each website has its own individual limits, they will not automatically help you manage your total spend. All UK-licensed online operators are required to participate in GAMSTOP. Switching to another brand is not a way to avoid self-exclusion. If you are excluded or cannot control your spend, don't open another account: contact GamCare for advice on how to get back in control.

18+ only. Only play at UKGC-licensed websites. Gamble responsibly and Take Time to Think.

Assess Player Reviews, Common Complaints and Dispute Resolution Options

Reviews can be helpful in identifying potential questions you should consider asking (not to provide insight into how your personal account will function). A single angry post OR one picture of a delighted player's cash out does not tell you much by itself.

Review recent reviews and compare them with old reviews. Look for patterns that show a history of the same issue(s) happening repeatedly: Unusual documentation requests; withdrawals taking longer than published estimates; vague exclusions from promotions; support providing conflicting information. Find out if the support staff provides you with some type of action plan/practical solution versus just a generic apology.

Do not confuse disappointment about losing with complaints about customer service or terms. Neither a losing streak nor a winning cash-out screenshot establishes whether a game is fair. Do not use star ratings as a form of audit either: review platforms attract uneven samples and may contain incentivised or unreliable posts.

If you do have a dispute, save all communication and evidence: the original offer terms, transaction references, screenshots and correspondence. Submit a formal complaint through the operator's published process and explain the outcome you're seeking.

For an unresolved dispute over a gambling transaction, the operator's named alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider can assist after receiving a final decision from them or waiting for at least eight weeks, depending on the terms of the scheme. ADR services are provided without charge to consumers. Reports that the UK Gambling Commission receives will be used in order to shape its regulatory environment; however it does not settle individual complaints nor seek to recover monies owed to consumers.

Conclusion: Choose Based on Verified Ownership, Clear Terms and Your Spending Limits

You should first consider the relationship as opposed to the offer: Tombola Arcade is the only true sister site on Tombola's own licence, while Sky Bingo, Sky Vegas, Paddy Power and Betfair are the related family members of Flutter and each have their own licensed company. Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo are independent alternatives, and BravoPlay is my pick if you want a clean break from the Flutter group.

If your primary focus will be on bingo games, then look for actual room schedules prior to viewing the casino games catalogue. After that, verify the operator, the payment rules and the current bonus terms. Only choose an option once it has been determined that it falls within a spending limit you have previously established. Also remember that remaining in one location, or simply choosing not to gamble is also an acceptable decision.

Remember that terms of services can change; therefore, always re-check terms of service before making a deposit. Never open additional accounts in order to avoid either spending limits or exclusions.
